In our last post we left you with the details of the Ivy League video competition, as the deadline draws closer (midnight July 2nd) entries are starting to come in. Just head over to the youtube page www.youtube.com/joshpykevideocomp  to see the videos for ‘You Don’t Scare Me’ and while you’re on Youtube don’t forget to check out our videos if you haven’t already: www.youtube.com/FriendsOfJoshPyke

Speaking of Ivy League, this Thursday 25th of June at The Gaelic Theatre they’re doing their bit to help save FBI Radio with a gig ‘A league of their own’ featuring Red Riders, The Mess Hall, Cloud Control and more.  Ticket details here.

Now, for an update on The White Album Concerts. More dates have been added since our last post, a 3rd Melbourne show and a 2nd Brisbane show. So, here are the full dates and Phil from Spiritworks has advised me that although none of the shows have sold out the only shows with decent seats left are the bolded ones:

Saturday 1st August – Hamer Hall, Melbourne
Monday 3rd August – Hamer Hall, Melbourne
Tuesday 4th August – Hamer Hall, Melbourne
Wednesday 5th August – QPAC, Brisbane
Thursday 6th August – QPAC, Brisbane
Friday 7th August – Opera House, Sydney
Saturday 8th August – Opera House, Sydney
Sunday 9th August – Opera House, Sydney
Mon 10th August – Adelaide Festival Theatre
Tues 11th August – Burswood Theatre, Perth

And, there’s also a website for the White Album Concert, which gives you a chance to win 2 tickets and backstage passes to one of the White Album Concerts. Josh has also written a blog entry for the website;

“Hmmm, 8 songs to learn. I haven’t had to learn someone else’s songs for quite some time, in fact the reason i started writing songs in the first place was because i was too lazy to learn someone else’s.”  Read the rest of the blog on the website.

And that’s it for now,

Friends of Josh Pyke might be quite over the next few weeks as I’m going on holiday (to Sydney & Melbourne) and both Mary and Meary will be on holidays at some point too.
