Happy 7th birthday Friends of Josh Pyke!

If you had told 15 year old me that Friends of Josh Pyke would grow into this little community and would still be going 7 years on, I’d probably have a hard time believing you.

It’s fair to say 2013 has been our biggest year yet. Not only have we tried to keep you up to date with the latest Josh Pyke news, but we were lucky enough to bring you some footage from the studio early in the year. And on top of that we got to present the Melbourne Fans First show.

I know I’ve said this before but Friends of Josh Pyke wouldn’t be what it is today without you all. It’d just be me, sitting in front of my laptop, talking to myself. In all seriousness though, a massive thank you to every single one of you for supporting FOJP over these past 7 years.

A special thank you to Robert (Meary) for his endless web help and Siobhan for her design skills.

To Josh Pyke’s management and his extended team, thank you for the continued support over the years. Thanks for putting up with my emails, and trusting me enough to get more involved.

And Josh, I know it still spins you out that someone can even be bothered to do this, let alone for 7 years. But hey, it still spins me out how far FOJP has come and how many great experiences/memories I have because of you. Thank you for making the music that has soundtracked most of my life, and many other lives.

I find it fitting that this evening I’m flying to Perth to visit family. Back to Perth where it all began, back when FOJP was just a Myspace page…
