JP Forum, Darwin, David + Kim
As some of you may know there used to be a Josh Pyke fanclub forum, although it had been inactive for a couple of months it is now back online. With that being said the FOJP forum has a new home in the JP forum and so we’ll be removing ours from the website in the next few days.
As the Josh Pyke forum is for fanclub members only, those of you who are signed up will receive an email shortly with information on how to access the forum (for those of you who have forgotten) If you’re not a member of the JP fanclub, why not join? Membership is free so please email hq@joshpyke.com and ask for a sign up form.
Pyke has announced a new gig at the Darwin Entertainment Centre on the 3rd of November. Ticket details can be found here. (please note the gig is not apart of the Variations Tour)
The date and venue for the Brisbane gig of the Variations tour has changed. Originally taking place at the Big Top on Saturday 7th November it will now be on Thursday 5th November at The Hi Fi Brisbane. Anyone who has already purchased a ticket can come along to the new show and if you would prefer a refund you can go back to the point of purchase. This is an 18+ show. All tickets bought for the Big Top Show are valid for this venue. Tickets from www.thehifi.com.au 1300 843 4434 Doors open 6pm
Speaking of the Variations tour, more details have been revealed:
“As the tour name states, Josh’s set will be split down into three varying fragments; an acoustic solo set followed by an intimate set featuring re-workings of his back catalogue, and incorporating instruments like mandolin, ukulele and toy piano. The final set will see Josh immerge with a full band for a big sound. The different paces of the three sets will showcase Josh’s versatility as a musician and a performer, and give fans a special insight into the man behind the songs.”
Josh Pyke was on 9am with David & Kim on Monday morning. A quick interview and an acoustic performance of You Don’t Scare Me. If you missed it, you can now watch online.
And last but not least, Josh played at Sounds of Spring last weekend and we’re all keen to know how it went. So send us your photos and reviews, email friendsofjoshpyke@gmail.com. Our FOJP Brisbane Rep, Siobhan was there and i’ve just added her review to the site. Click here to read it.
That’s all for now folks!
