Just over a week until Josh Pyke’s album tour: Q+A with Patrick James

With just over a week to go until Josh Pyke’s The Beginning & The End of Everything tour begins, we thought it was about time we introduced you to one of the supports, Patrick James.
We threw some questions his way and he kindly answered them for us…
Five questions with.. Patrick James
Place you call home?
Port Macquarie (P Mac)
Can you describe your music in a few words?
I think its a mix of folk, singer-songwriter and acoustic music. some of my main influences are Paul Simon and James Taylor. At the moment I seem to be writing a lot more uplifting music with lots of harmonies.
What song of yours would be a good introduction to your music? (For those who hadn’t heard of you before?)
I would say All About To Change and Brighter Lights. Im writing plenty of new stuff at the moment but these probably show off my current sound the best as they are both off my current EP.
Are there any particular cities you’re looking forward to visiting on the Beginning & The End of Everything tour?
Love going to Melbourne and really looking forward to Fremantle, we played in WA for the first time with Emma Louise not long ago so it will be good to head back that way. Pretty excited about the whole thing!
And do you have a favourite Josh Pyke song?
Loving Leeward side and Middle of the Hill is a favourite.
