Love Lies Tour Countdown

Hi everyone!

Time for another update. I could apologise (again) for the delay between posts, but I figure you’re all smart enough to be following us on Twitter, or Facebook to get the updates as they happen.

So something exciting happened in the FOJP camp this week. After six years, we finally have FOJP business cards. A massive thank you to Siobhan Skipworth for the design! Hopefully you’ll all be able to pick some up at Josh Pyke’s Love Lies Theatre Tour.

Speaking of the tour, less than 3 weeks to go! The Brisbane show has sold out, and you’d better get your tickets for the other shows! There’s a great short video from the rehearsal studio on Josh’s website. See above. A full video will be available for Josh Pyke fan club members in the next few days. Stay tuned to FOJP website as we may have a competition announcement this coming week.

On Easter, Josh Pyke played Bluesfest in Byron Bay. From the reviews we’ve read, Josh played a great set and from his photo above, it seems he played to a rather large crowd. Speaking of festivals, Josh is playing the River Sessions 2012 on Saturday 30th of June at the Mackay Race Track.

Song Summit takes place in Sydney May 26-28, Josh Pyke is one of many artists taking part in the songwriting & coaching. Check the website for full details. Song Summit also presents Backstage Pass, a unique program catering for students. Josh is one of mentors. Details here.

Our Fan Spotlight is still happening, the spotlight was on Aimee for the month of March. And for what remains of April the spotlight is on Catherine. Congrats, Catherine! (sorry, I forgot to update it earlier!) Don’t forget to send us your entries to be eligible for next month. Check the Fan Spotlight page for details!

I’m going to leave you with a story. At a recent housewarming party in Melbourne, I got talking to one of the other guests, who I’d never met before. Funnily enough, she knew of Friends of Josh Pyke, and her friend Susannah had won one of our competitions a few years back. She informed me that Pyke the penguin was still at the Melbourne Aquarium and is now a father of four. Small world, huh!

That’s it for now. Hope you’re all doing well!
