Only Sparrows hits the road

Well, we survived our fifth birthday party. What a night*

Moving on… Josh has hit the road for the Only Sparrows tour taking along the band, and supports Emma Louise and The Paper Kites. Newcastle, Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne, Geelong, Byron Bay, Coolangatta, and Brisbane have all had a visit from JP.

The sold out Corner Hotel show in Melbourne was something special. There was a great vibe, and the crowd sing-alongs (to both new & old songs) were ace! Not only did Josh Pyke play my favourite song, Silver but unexpectedly he dedicated it to me. What. A. Legend. Check out this video of some footage from that show.

There’s three shows to go until the end of the tour. Adelaide on Thursday, which has sold out. (Nice work Adelaide!) Pyke heads west on Friday and Saturday to play the Fly By Night and the Astor Theatre. Fly By Night show has almost sold out. WA, I expect you to give JP a big welcome return, seeing as I no longer live there.

On that note, JP posted on Twitter about hoping to get a special guest to sing Punch in the Heart in WA. *coughKatySteelecough* Now I almost wish I still lived in Perth. Almost.
