And so the Only Sparrows solo tour has come to an end.

New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia and Darwin were all treated with a string of solo shows. We were lucky enough to catch two of Josh’s Victorian shows, Ballarat and Geelong.

And a couple of other things have happened..

  • Josh dropped into ABC Ballarat to play No One Wants A Lover. Watch it here.
  • On October 31st at 12:30pm (AEDT) children around the country sung “Different People, Different Places”, a song written by Josh and some students for Music: Count Us In.
  • TheMusic.Com.Au interviewed Josh ahead of his Perth show. Read it here.
  • In August, a band fronted by producer Wayne Connolly called Knievel released a back catalogue of albums digitally. A bonus track is an acoustic version of Something Good Must Come featuring Josh on vocals, recorded by the band for the 2008 Australian film Monkey Puzzle!
  • Josh played at Golden Days Festival in Queensland.
  •  Josh Pyke & others will perform a unique arrangement of Beck’s new album, Beck Hansen’s Song Reader. Wednesday December 19th at the Standard in Sydney. Tickets on sale now.
  • Triple J have released a Like A Version Anthology (the best of 2005-2009), and Josh’s cover of The House at Pooh Corner features on it! Buy it here.

On Saturday Josh plays at the Summer Starter Festival in Tamworth. Josh is also going to start working on the new album soon, we can’t wait to hear it!
