The Lone Wolf Tour continues
Hi friends!
I’m well and truly back from gallivanting across Europe for a month. I hope you’re all settling into the new year, can’t quite believe it’s March already.
Time for a recap of what has happened in the first few months of 2014.
Rewinding back to January, the Triple J Hottest 100 countdown saw ‘Leeward Side’ make it to number 88. Thanks to every one of you who voted! Speaking of Leeward Side, the video make it into RAGE’s top 50 videos of 2013 at number 28.
In the weeks leading up to the Lone Wolf Tour, Josh treated fans to solo recordings of a handful of songs. You can listen to them on his Soundcloud page.
In early February, Triple J premiered a track called ‘Someone Else’s House’. Josh was invited by Urthboy and Sulo from The Herd to collaborate on a track. You can watch the video here.
Back in November Josh performed a Spotify session. The playlist is now live. Hit play, then sit back and enjoy! Listen here.
Only days before the day began, Josh Pyke announced the Lone Wolf Tour Live 2014 Collectors Edition CD/DVD. Featuring a Double CD/DVD recorded Live from Lone Wolf Tour, 5 Collectors Postcards + Viewmaster + 2 Photo Reels taken on Lone Wolf Tour. Sounds pretty sweet right? Pre-order yours here now.
The day before the tour started, Josh Pyke dropped into the Morning Show on 7 to perform ‘The Beginning & The End of Everything’ – if you missed it you can watch it here.
On Valentines Day the Lone Wolf tour kicked off in Hobart. Josh is once again being supported by Jackson McLaren on selected shows. From Hobart to Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns. All of 6 shows so far have sold out!
Once again we’ve had the pleasure of organising photographers for this tour. A shout out to the photographers who have jumped on board! Check out the photos on Josh’s Facebook page.
And we gotta admire the guy, whether Josh is playing to 100 or 3500 people, where possible, he makes time for a signing after.
Throughout the tour, Josh has done a bunch of interviews. Check them out: Casual Band Blogger, Tone Deaf, TheAUreview, MusicFeeds, Blank GC, Hey Audio Collective, T H E, The Newcastle Herald, & Sydney Morning Herald.
The tour continues this coming week. On Wednesday Josh plays a sold out show in Perth at Live At The Quarry. Fear not if you missed out on tickets. There’s a second show on Thursday March 13th. Then onto Newcastle & Canberra.
On March 16th, Josh along with Bernard Fanning, Clare Bowditch and Pete Murray are playing Live On The Lawn at Werribee Park in Victoria. Tickets here.
We’ll leave you with the news that Josh has announced two regional dates, April 17th in Albany and April 19th in Dunsborough. And the great news, there’s more to come!
That’s it for now, folks!
