The White Album Concert returns!
Some very, very exciting news to share with you all.
Back in August of 2009, some of you may be have been lucky enough to attend the White Album Concert featuring Josh Pyke, Phil Jamieson, Chris Cheney and Tim Rogers. They played 11 shows, and I for one was very glad it made its way to Perth.
5 years on and the original line up is back together for another tour of The White Album Concert this July.
Press release & dates/ticketing information below.
For our WA friends, Josh Pyke has added two shows to the Lone Wolf Tour. He’ll be in WA over the Easter long weekend. April 17th at The White Star in Albany and April 19th at The Dunsborough Tavern in Dunsborough. Josh has also been announced on the lineup for the Gympie Music Muster in Queensland this August.
Until next time,

In the winter of 2009 four of our greatest rock’n’roll showmen – Chris Cheney of The Living End, Phil Jamieson of Grinspoon, Tim Rogers from You Am I and ARIA award winner singer/songwriter Josh Pyke – left a trail of standing ovations and ecstatic reviews selling out 11 shows in 5 cities across Australia.
The White Album Concert returns in July 2014.
Coming after India, but before the split, The White Album was the sound of John, Paul, George and Ringo throwing everything they’d learned into their musical blender. This major work bursts with variety, creativity, experimentation, and the genius of The Beatles during one of their most intense, fertile, periods. It is a timeless album, yet very much of its time.
Its 30 songs veer from the populist stomp of Back in the USSR and the mind-bending Happiness is a Warm Gun to the melodious sorrow of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, the ska pop fun of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, and the hard rock prototype Helter Skelter.
Bringing this classic to life is an all-star line-up of Australia’s finest musicians, with Cheney, Jamieson, Rogers and Pyke backed by 17 piece rock orchestra including guitars, strings, horns, two drummers and musically directed by Rex Goh.
The White Album songs will be performed in track order, starting with Back in the USSR and closing with Good Night.
